What will Dow be showcasing at in-cosmetics Global this year?

One of the programs we will feature at this year‘s in-cosmetics Global is TRENDSLAB – WE UNITE. For the past five years, Dow Corning, now a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company, has released an edition of TRENDSLAB at in-cosmetics Global. TRENDSLAB is a platform of concept collections showcasing formulations and products that deliver on tomorrow’s beauty trends. Within each collection brand owners find thorough trend analysis paired with innovative ingredients and our extensive formulation expertise.

What trends do you focus on in the newest TRENDSLAB program?

This year TRENDSLAB – WE UNITE is all about global community. We recognize that our lives are no longer just local. We have global interactions, connections and impact. We are working together to evolve and to create more fulfilling lives. As a global family, we want our ethics and our values to be part of everything we do, including our beauty habits.

Included in this year’s WE UNITE collection are 10 innovative formulations clustered around four sub-trends:

  • Simple — keeping things simple and uncluttered, using multifunctional products with fewer ingredients
  • Play — being ready for action (or relaxing) and looking good for your selfie thanks to products that provide long-lasting performance and protection
  • Foodology — enjoying super foods and traditions, experimenting with products that offer different textures and temperatures
  • Memories — capturing moments and transformational journeys while experiencing products that are delightful and memorable
