in-cosmetics launches new show in Brasil

in-cosmetics group launches new show in Brasil and strikes partnership with ABIHPEC

Reed Exhibitions, organiser of the leading personal care ingredients events in-cosmetics and in-cosmetics Asia is delighted to announce the launch of in-cosmetics Brasil , the first exhibition in South America focussing exclusively on personal care ingredients.

in-cosmetics Brasil will take place from 9-10 September 2014 at the World Trade Centre in São Paulo. The event has received full support since its soft-launch at in-cosmetics in Paris last month. With over 80 exhibitors already booked, it is set to bring local R&D professionals face-to-face with the largest ever gathering of raw materials and ingredients suppliers in the region.

Beauty product sales in Brazil hit $43 billion in 2011, a 142% growth since 2006 that puts it on a pace to overtake Japan as the world’s second-largest beauty market within a few years¹. For many companies already exhibiting at the in-cosmetics flagship event in Europe, the new in-cosmetics Brasil show is the ideal platform to access and capitalize on this lucrative and fast-growing market.

Lucy Gillam, Exhibition Director commented “The overwhelming interest in in-cosmetics Brasil shows how much demand there is for an event that focuses exclusively on personal care ingredients. International suppliers such as Merck and Croda, Brazilian suppliers such as Beraca, Chemyunion or Oxineto and local distributors such as Dynaco or M.Cassab have already booked and we believe we have chosen the right formula with this event format”.

The newly signed Strategic Partnership Agreement with ABIHPEC (Brazilian Association of the Cosmetic Toiletry and Fragrance Industry) is a further sign of the strong local support for the event and will guarantee access to over 2,300 Brazilian cosmetics manufacturers.

Lucy Gillam added “We are very excited to be working with such an influential association as ABHIPEC. This partnership demonstrates our commitment to working with a strong local partner association, reaching out to their members and sharing insights and expertise that will be beneficial for the show’s future and all its stakeholders.”

In addition to Brazilian brands, in-cosmetics Brasil will also target selected buyers and senior R&D professionals from other key Latin American markets, in particular Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina and Peru.
