Revealed: The 22 ingredients shortlisted for the in-cosmetics Asia 2025 Awards

The finalists for the in-cosmetics Asia 2025 Awards have been announced, following a record-breaking number of entries into the show’s prestigious Innovation Zone, which showcases the most recent personal care ingredients launched in the last eight months.

From more than 120 entries, just 22 ingredients have made the final shortlist, made up of 12 actives and 10 functionals, representing the very best in scientific excellence and creativity in personal care ingredient formulation.

The winners will be unveiled at the official in-cosmetics Asia Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, 4 November, from 17:15 during the show taking place from 4-6 November in Bangkok, Thailand.

A distinguished judging panel, comprising cosmetic scientists, R&D leaders and product developers from L’Oréal, Estée Lauder, Amore Pacific, Paragon Corp and others, evaluated this year’s entries against strict criteria of innovation, efficacy and market relevance.

Notably, half of the judges are new to the panel this year, bringing fresh perspectives and expertise to the selection process. Several shortlisted ingredients will also be unveiled to the public for the first time at the show.

With this year’s Spotlight On Biotech Beauty highlighting the growing influence of biotechnology in personal care innovation, the Spotlight On Formulation Awards will also be celebrated, recognising some of the newest formulation concepts shaping the future of beauty.
